Daisy F. Maryon

Iguana Research Specialist & Fiscal

Daisy F. Maryon is a British conservation biologist who completed her undergraduate BSc degree at the University of South Wales (UK). In 2016, she started her current PhD program studying the populations of Critically Endangered Utila Spiny-tailed Iguana (Ctenosaura bakeri) in collaboration with Kanahau Utila Research & Conservation Facility. Daisy is an active member of the IUCN SSC Iguana Specialist Group (ISG), and also works alongside the International Iguana Foundation (IIF) to promote the conservation of iguanas worldwide. She is an indispensable asset to the Kanahau directors board, given her ability to lead and develop research as well as obtain funding for implementing direct conservation action.
